    Bondy99- mud crabbing.?

    Hi Peter,

I've sent a few messages lately, but no reply, I was wondering if you wee still keen to get a few crabs when they come back on again in the warmer months.

    I'd like to organise something.

My last couple of trips have been whiting trips and we have done reasonably well, with a few nice flathead thrown in too.

You can private message me and I'll give my phone number again, if you want.
    Cheers,

    Scott

    G'day Scott,

I have had some issues with messages coming through via Ausfish so don't know what happened there. I'm always keen when it comes to mud and sandcrabs.

I have not fitted the 7 pin trailer plug as yet, due to an operation on my right hand. Sutures come out this Thursday.

Sounds like you done ok with whiting and flathead, nice going, have not caught these for some time.

I will fit 7 pin trailer plug after sutures are removed.

I have misplaced your phone number so if you can pm your details again it will be much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

    Hope your feeling better soon.

The crabs aren't really on now, I would say from late september onwards would be worth a shot.

I hadn't heard from you for a while, so I thought I'd see how your going and if you were still keen.

    My phone is 3206 8525.

    Cheers

You should be out crabbing now when no one else is

    TheRealAndy and Scott Ashe,

Yeah, I know there are some stragglers but the bulk would have hybernated by now I would think. Not as active in cold water.

Done believe it, i always get my best catches in winter. I don't think they hibernate, they just slow down which means they typically don't breed.

g'day all, had 4 pots out front of beachmere this morn'n for 12 good keepers [sandies] like andy, i always do pretty well for sandies this time of year. with muddies i find if you keep your pots out longer, say 2 sets of tides you pick up a few. bloke at crab n gear reckons they just move slower in colder water. regards.

Tsunami crusher, thanks for confirning what TheRealAndy was saying.

Nice that you got some keepers, yeah I would not mind placing a few out and have a fish and pull them up on the way in.

    G'day Scott

No worries, I'll give you a call this week, Thursday is out. Hand is improving, I had the engine running today and took it around the block, seemed to be ok. Will know later today if its still runs.

    Cheers, Peter
