popper fishing this morning

After having caught some trevally down at my spot over the passed four weeks i thought i would get some poppers on the go see if i can land something bigger the a 20cm fish. Was down there awhile the girfriend hooked onto a nice one on pilchard but then snaged up on the pylon. I had a few casts trying to stir up some noise but no luck, Then my baitcaster stopped working i was baitfishing with and thought this was a sign to get the popper out on my other rod few casts later got a small queenie few more casts i see a couple of silver flashs in the pillers threw the popper over and near it for about 10 casts untill BAM hooked up to this trevally was a heck of a fight it kept running the way i didnt want it to so ended up getting the GF to anchor up and chased it around the piller with the electric motor.

So here it is finaly a decent fish on a popper.
Was a fairly slow day the trevas seem to of left after landing one other then that a few bream not worth talking about. Was a bit windy though but either way a fun day

haha i saw that in the picture i was awaiting someone to bring it up.... they are my toes by the way hahah. The girlfriend is cracking up behind me reading her that comment.
