I have been lucky to get in 2 overnight trips in the one week. First trip was on the weekend. We fished spots out near the shelf but it was slow going with only the odd fish making it into the box. Tuskfish, goldspot and hussar making up for most of the catch. Some cobia and amberjack kept us entertained. We got a few school reds and some good pearly’s. The weather was too good to be true!!
Second trip was on Tuesday and Wednesday and again we had some of the best weather you can get. We did not go as far but still got some nice fish with more good pearly’s a few snapper and 1 red. Spent a bit of time spanner carbing and got a good feed.
Seen a shark and not knowing what it was took some picks of him so we could id later. Some people have told me that they think it is a great white and after looking up a few books I think they may be right. If so, that is the first great white I have seen.

Dwane

Top report mate. Hard to tell for sure, but she does look like a white. Def a white or tiger...any other pics? any of the tail region? that'd be the best bet. did she hang around long? did you burley and she come up in the trail or was she attracted by the action? Great stuff mate, and you're in for a hell of a feast!

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges
