Problem with my navman
Gday,
When i'm travelling at speed my sounder keeps powering off, It will instantly power back on and return to the disclaimer page, i have to hit enter and then it will find the satelites and then pinpoint me back onto my current position. Doesnt seem to happen when trolling or drifting / anchored up, only when at speed I have figured that the fault isnt from between the switch panel and sounder, if it was i would have to hold the power button on the sounder for 3 seconds before it powers back on, so i believe the fault is in the unit somewhere. It is a navman 660 combo plotter / sounder with a 500KHZ transducer
Any Opinions????

My guess would be that you've got a loose switch wire somewhere, or some uninsulated wire somewhere that shorts when going over the bumps.
Only a guess, but the symptoms sound like a prob I once had - not fun to track down either as it is an intermittent fault. Mine was a loose crimp lug on a switch.

If you have one of those cheap inline fuse holders that are spring loaded check that. If they get loomed up to tight or the ends get pulled on they loose contact.
If its a glass fuse, it doesnt hurt to check the fuse itself. Ive seen a few brand new out of the packet fuses where the end caps are loose.
cheers
