    Hinchinbrook in Nov

Heading up to stay at the Cardwell Marina for a week or so. I'll have a 6m CC and was wondering whats hanging around the creeks and reefs around Hinchinbrook at that time of year.
    Cheers

Crocs, and good grunter on the flats, lots of smeller GTs, jacks, Barra and probably fingermark as well.
We do a trip out in Missionary bay in December and get good fish.

Great time of the year to be in the Hinchinbrook region, weather warming up , fish firing up, as long as the winds are friendly you will have a great time

Thanks for the info. Will take plenty of bushmans. Taking the kids out and would love to show them a croc. Is there any popular haunts where the crocs lurk around. I've fished Stanage quite a bit and find the start of the run out and the start of the run in works best up the creeks - whats the best tides around Hinchinbrook as they seem to be small tides in comparison.

Yeah plenty of fish all round that time of year. Big fingermark from the end of the jetty, barra starting to fire up properly and plenty of crocs.

Have a look around the mouth of the Herbert at low tide. They'll be out sunning themselves there. Watch out for sandbanks though in your big boat.

    Awesome system/island.
    Awesome time to go.
Good size boat to get to most of the places. (some of the good fishing is in shallow water)

Everything you could want to catch is there at that time.

    Have a blast.

Mate Hinchinbrook has crazy tides and currents, moreso than the usual up here. By november the sandbars will have shifted etc. Have a look at low tide and run from there.

Trout should be firing and the Macs will probably still be around, like all the lads are saying, good time of year, not too hot, winds are usually pretty good, you're laughing.
