Thread: Boat Canopies

    Boat Canopies

Iam Looking At The Stacer 449 Nomad.
It Comes With A Canopy But I Was Just Wondering What Type Of Canopies Blokes Have On Their Boats.
The Standard Ones Usually Only Give Protection For 1 Person.
Does Anyone Have A Bigger Canopy That I Could See?
Also Any Reports On The Nomads

    Cheers

    Re: Boat Canopies

My canopy is a double bow goes from the back twart to the start of the casting platform so when I'm by myself, I get plenty of protection.

2 up, the person sitting on the back edge of the front casting platform get around 50% depending which way the boat is heading.

Early morning & late afternoon, the sun just come in the side.

To get more protection at the front, a beach umbrella in the front seat spigot is the way to go. Just make sure it's held in securely.

You could probably get a canopy/biminy to cover from the transom to the bow then add side curtains By this time you'd have great sun protection but lousy fishing access.

One of the best sun / wind protection I've seen for the front is one of those beach shelters deployed on the front casting platform. But again, fishing is restricted.

No matter what you do, it'll always be a compromise between protection & ease of fishing.
