There are a few here. but the reef is a fair way off shore around Townsville. Most people shoot up to Lucinda where it is much closer to the mainland and therefore cheaper.
Lucinda isnt much further north in the big scheme of things.. do as search for that.

I haven't been out on them but Northern Conquest seem to have positive reports. They have a website.
As mentioned - Lucinda is the place to be - good fishing is the life for me - reef stretching out far and wide etc
I had a wonderfukl trip up there with Scott Hillier and his brother Brad on their Kevlacat
You might be lucky and he has a spare space on a trip out - they do sole boat charters generally - if he doeshave space you should be amazed

Thanks for that link geeb. I asked a similar question and have been looking at different charters. Those 3 day packages look good to me, 4 nights accomodation and transfers from Townsville airport included for $2000. And the fishing looks pretty bloddy good too!!
