Hey Guys,
Hoping to take the kids out to chase some winter whitting soon. Just wondering how everyone has been going? Are they around? Is the sea grass near the sand hills producing?
Thanks Dave

Hi dave, i found them last sunday at the cockle banks( between bribie and scarbrough) on that day they were in 16 foot of water as soon as i drifted back to 14 foot the bite stopped.
I used some frozen worms i had left over from a trip last year and found no problems getting my 50.
Mick.
Caught 1 yesterday at the compass adjustment buoy decent size in a receding tide (approx 4.7m)

Hi,
We fished Deanbilla bay on the top of the tide on Saturday morning for 4 winter whiting, using small squid strips.
Probably could have caught more but ran out of bait.
Not great results, but I'm happy, it was a great morning weather wise.
Cheers
Scott
I was out at the cockle banks on Sunday (glassed out in the bay...MIRACLE!) and we caught nearly 50 between two of us before targetting diff species off Redcliffe.
We could have bagged out but there's more than enough for a feed now (plus spare a thought for the 2-3 hours to clean and fillet all the little buggers!)
Fished out from Margate Beach on the peninsula Saturday. Caught 9 winteries on pillies.
Tight Lines
Split-shot
Damn C-Maps don't show enough detail.. where abouts is Cockle banks?
