    Another Legal Red, 56cm, 42m, Cal 12m

Customer got this 56cm red in 42m of water Saturday at the Caloundra 12mile. 2nd legal one on charter so far. The other was off Currimundi in 38m two Christmas' ago. Also got a good cobe and busted up by another one. Waiting on the customers pics. Also got a good grassy and some squire on soft plastics in closer earlier but the SW wind made things difficult.

    Also some other recent fishing.

    Well done there Smithy.

We were surprised with Pearlies in close like that last week............

Maybe the fish won't be wide this year?

Smithy that red looks like the one I threw back about 6 months ago when it was 54cm . There are a few spots due east of the mouth of the Mooloola River in about 42 metres where we caught some legal reds and good pearlies about 2 years ago.

    Nice pics and fish.

    Cheers

    Rob,

Have you been getting many YFT this year. One of my favourite eating fish - sushimi. And what did you use to land him.

    Luke,

thanks. I'll see you around somewhere soon.

    Brett,

First one. Took a livey on wire going for mackerel. It was very tasty too. There have been a few caught by the gamefish boys going for bills but Hutchies has been a marine desert this year. Sounds like the Tweed and Lookout fished heaps better this year.

    Barry,

I'd like to find that spot! I don't have anything between Murphies and the 50m line in that area!

    Swano,

that one parrot there was 64cm and 4.3kg so just under 10lb. Would have beena good one for a few of the comps.

    Great report Rob,

Those Tuskies are rippers, they are one fish which we do not catch many up here on line fisheries.

Are you coming up to fish Lizard this year?

    Cheers,
    Nick

    Nick,

Would probably do Townsville Tournament again so long as the small fish turn up. Haven't heard anything yet. They should start getting them in May in the good years. No plans for Heavy Tackle unless someone wants to fly me up for a week or two all expenses paid! Lol!

Nice to see a yellowfin there.

A school under birds or just a loner?

    Thanks for the report.

On water shot of that red and a cobe the same day.

Bugga about our trip Red. They are still yet to hit in any real numbers. Maybe August will be the month.

Yellowfin was a loner going for mackerel.
