Lowrance Extended Warranty
Has anyone taken up the extended warranty from Lowrance, then made a claim against it?
My experience so far is that while your unit is in warranty, Lowrance provide good support. The problem is the lack of repair facility after warranty and the high price for 'upgrade' early after warranty has expired.
The 2 year extended warranty is an option, but it has a cost. I figure that with the way technology is changing, having 'new for old' coverage for four years is pretty good if it is properly supported. After 4 years, I guess you take your chances and might want to upgrade to take advantage of new technology anyway.
But of course, it has to be fully supported by the company to have value.
Hence the question.
