Who is the best US company to import electronics through?

I just got a quote and one place wanted USD 65 to deliver a very small parcel. probably would cost $20 max through USPS.......

any recommendations? I'm after some Lowrance instrumentation

Often electronics come in overly large boxes due to the padding used etc. For example, a fishing reel such as the Baitrunner 6500 with handle folded down so it fits in the smallest box possible will cost $20US to get over here. It says so on the receipt that gets put on the box by USPS.
Unfortunately you get charged by weight according to volume usually for international parcels.

next surprise is an email I just got back saying that they've been recently banned from sending Lowrance products to Australia (by Lowrance) to force us to buy locally..........

If you know anyone in the states have it delivered to them and then have them foward it on.Merc have placed the same policy on some sellers also over there.
