Thats a real solid thready, it would of gone hard
Made a last minute decision to drop the boat in for a mid week solo fish last wednesday as i checked the weather and it looked pretty good.
First up went to one of the loaders and worked a 3 inch Guzzler Prong for about 15 minutes for nothing. Decided to have a sound around a few places and come accross a few promising shows at one of my usual spots. I also noticed that there was alot of bait skiping around the surface and the odd fish was chasing them. They were gar, and whitebait i think.
Anyway, i worked one of dans threadybusters around the area for about 10mins and come up tight on my first fish for the night, a small jew which would have gone ~50cms. I must have found a school of them as 3 more came in quick succession (~50cm, 68cm, and 74.5cm). I then decided to move and have a quick try for a threadfin before i left. Managed one at about 110cm on the same lure which put up a great fight.
All fish were caught and released pretty much on the turning tide between 6 and 8pm when there was very little run in the water. left them biting and had the boat back in the shed clean by 9, which was great.
cheers,
Rob
