Piccies or linq timi?
They're quoting me 3.4 ton hull and trailer. So I'll fuel up close to the ramp. The Glacier Bay 2680 carries 180 gallons (750 litres) so about a par with the 2500 (700). I will also be looking into an alloy trailer, as I would like to be able to drag her with at least some fuel aboard.
To go to a yank tank is not desired. I'll stick with the Cruiser - I can't see Mumsy parking a Seppo thingy in the carpark at Woollies... So I must keep it in the 3.5 ton arena.
Cheers,
Tim

Hi Timmy,
Went for a trip in a 30ft Cabriolet with 2 250 suks. A pleasure to drive. Fuel economy was a surprise around 1.1km/lt Trim was effective the balance of the boat felt good. Internal layout is great. Only downside was trying to sleep with tunnel slap. And with a 1.5m short swell doing 22knts it will bang a bit' Regards Brett
If someone has their sights set on a particular boat and wants to know more about said boat, then why do you suggest he buy something else??
I think the forum could do with more positive comments...
My 5c.........2c just wasn't enough.
Even if thats so , don't forget you will have some gear in it and some fuel , what about a couple big batteries and so on ...They're quoting me 3.4 ton hull and trailer.
That will save you 100 or so ks. I will also be looking into an alloy trailer, as I would like to be able to drag her with at least some fuel aboard.
I agree with you there, the LC200 is big but like a limo to drive. To go to a yank tank is not desired. I'll stick with the Cruiser - I can't see Mumsy parking a Seppo thingy in the carpark at Woollies...
Who knows, I could do worse than just getting a new CC685...
Missing my old boat atm, she was a mighty rig.
Cheers,
Tim

Timi didnt say he had his sights set on this boat just that it had gone up the list of possibles and others are just giving food for thought. I think these are positive comments actually. Helping a bloke make an informed decision of a big dollar purchase is pretty positive I think?????? For me it's very good to make a purchase knowing you have weighed all the options and made a decision. Nothing worse than thinking you have just spent big dollars fighting the perfect boat for your needs then the week after finding something that is even better and possibly at a cheaper price. That would shit me to tears.
I am glad that I found the Seatrek Marine Supersports Cat 5900 as I thought a KC was the best boat for my needs. The Seatrek knocked the KC off the top pretty damn quick and is plenty cheaper. Now I just need to save the dollars to purchase it. And in the meantime Ill still keep looking around.
Cheers
Chris

Darn, it's like you push so far, but just can't make it...
Sadly The PC will be too heavy on the trailer. I have no interest in breaking the towing laws, and with full fuel, bait and kit, she'll push well over 3,500 kg, even on an alloy trailer.
So it looks like plan B, whatever that is. Very possibly a CC685 Explorer, with a 300 V-Rod on the back. Mmmmm, time for a new thread?

Would you like a lend of a boat for awhile Timmi.
I have a few spare lying about.
I reckon this one would be suitable and I'll even put the Honda on it.
It's call sign is Donald and he's unsinkble.
He is 2.4m long and has a beam of ??. But you can't sink him
Do you reckon Mr Softy the 'cruiser would be able to tow him??
Cheers then
Scott
