    saturday night fishing with plastics

hey guys im going fishing in the boat at about 3:30pm and staying out and we are going to use soft plastics and im just wondering what sort of soft plastic would still get smashed at night time we will be fishing for flathead, bream, and if a jewfish grabs on we will be stoked but not getting our hopes up for one of those.
should i look for a squidgy with tail action say the squidgy wriggler with the tail making vibrations in the water and what colour i heard people say black but i have no idea why

personally i would go for a brighter colour plastic like pinks, greens, and yellows. shouldn't really matter what sort of plastic as long as you use them correctly you should catch fish.

Vibes... TT 1/4 Golden Boy colour..... its black with a gold body.... awesome. I would be going with something more grub/paddletail actions for the SP's.
    good luck

When a fish looks up it sees the dark coloured plastic easier because they are silhouetted against the light coming down into the water from above.

Thats how an ace plastics fisherman explained it to me. Hope I explained it so you understaood it.

Seeing as there is no moon sat night I would be trying something that has a bit of glow in it, unless your fishing somewhere that has a lot of light, like the port of bris then I would try the darker lures for the silhouette effect. Just my opinion anyways.

Try the Gulp 2" shrimp in pretty much any colour. I mainly use them in Nuclear Chicken and Newpenny, but you might want to try out the whole silhouette thing these guys have been talking about. Chuck it on a glow in the dark jighead and you'll be good.

Try to get a really light jig head, like a Squidgey Finesse Resin Head, and pull them along the surface like you would a popper. Do it around bridge pylons and you have every chance at bream, plus a range of other species.

    Cheers,

I hate catfish with a passion. In saying that they only take bait for me and are usually unwelcome. You got any big ones lately.
