Chris & Nath - so, your both trying to say you don't keep good written notes of your fishing or...? Believe a good memory is valuable on & off the water - agree with you both there. You can compare every factor of your fishing before & after trips with good recording, day by day, month by month, year by year. If your just relying on good memory of whats happened in the past to maybe point you in the right direction, isn't that a bit loose?
So, why NOT keep a barra diary/records? A quick 5/10min entry into the computer after every session isn't too hard to ask, surely? Guess it's a personal thing, but at the same time you only get out what you put in. Perhaps you spend 60mins a week typing posts on this forum, when you could be updating your barra records and learning something new!
Pete - I'd be a little suprised if someone was to provide you/all of us with their personal format of recording here on the www. Sure, they arn't giving you 'info' of such... but recording idea's could be as valuable as giving you their best triggering technique or lure modification. Make ya' own and see how ya go! It took me a good 8/9 months to be happy with the stuff I was recording & the format I was using, but havn't looked back since. An average recording entry after a session out the lake might take me 2/3mins these days - easy peasy asianeasy.
Don't mean to hi-jack, good thread.
