    Trap Clean up at NPD????

    Hi Guys,

I know some of you PRFMA boys read Ausfish, just a suggestion after we fished NPD for the 1st time last Friday. We noticed a massive number of traps tied to trees etc that appear to have been there for ages. I can only assume that a large percentage of them are from past permit holders who will not be back to collect them, reason I'm mentioning it is, being Lure fisherman, we managed to jag 4 traps during the day just casting lures, they're not very Jackall friendly!!! All 4 had obviously been there for many many months as the ropes were rotting, there was no sign of any containers or tins left in them and were covered in algae etc.

We thought maybe you could email all the current permit holders and ask all to please have all traps removed by June 30th??? Then, over the next few days, a group of volunteers could go around and collect the traps still there. They could all be sold off on the cheap (Ausfish Classifieds??) and any funds could go back into the restocking program. Just a thought, would welcome any other suggestions, it's a beautiful spot, Cheers, Jamie.
