Freshwater Shrimp

Does anyone have any good ideas for preserving freshwater shrimp? Sometimes there are heaps and other times hard to get. Many thanks.

whippy, try freezing them in water whilst still alive/fresh

One bloke I know stores the one armed bandits from the coast in Metho in a bottle. Takes them out the night before using them. He reckons it works a treat for them, and he gets a few yella on them at Leslie. Might be worth a go on shrimp as well.
