Moreton Bay Fishing Classic 2010
Friday August 6 to Wednesday August 11- Forget the Ekka this year, get the family along to the Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club at Manly for the Moreton Bay Fishing Classic. This is the second year the event has been held and there are over $200,000 in cash and prizes to be won.
First prize is a Haines Signature Boat 540F with a Suzuki outboard 100DL and trailer, second prize is a Suzuki Vitara 3 Door 4WD and third prize is an Ocean Kayak.
On the Sunday, 4BC and Suncorp will be hosting a Family Fun Day with an outside broadcast from Dave Downie, on stage hosting with Jamie Dunn and Agro as well as visits from sporting celebrities. There will be an on water display by Ocean Kayaks and loads of fun and entertainment for the whole family

There are 13 fish species with nightly prizes for the heaviest catch from Wilsons and Humminbird as well as cash prizes for the heaviest overal for each species: 1st $1,500, 2nd $500 and 3rd $250. We also have the Humminbird Classic Catch of the tournament which will win a Wilson's Fishing Rod, Humminbird depth sounder and $2,000 in cash.
If you miss the beach fishing and 4x4 of Fraser and Straddie we have organised a weigh in station at One Mile at Little Ship Club at Stradebroke Island. Weigh in is between 11-12pm daily with the main weigh in at Manly between 5pm and 6pm. There is entertainment every night with loads of fun for the whole family. Both the Friday night and Wednesday night the Calypso flyer will be travelling from One Mile at Stradebroke, leaving at 5:30pm and returning at 9:30pm for only $25.
