Traction is not a problem. Wheel stands is a problem.

Sound like one might need to lengthen the wheel base quite a bit to fix that.
Have a feeling the unit might get a lot unwieldy though.

The tow bar fitted to the front bull bar of the 4 x 4 seems to do the job.

    Here you go Frank.
I measured the slope where I was having troubles.
    It was a 400mm rise over 3m.
I reckon a geared ride-on would work better too. This one is hydrostatic.

Funny thing is it's pretty good without a seat. My fat @rse doesn't hang over it

Pete: Charlie cannot do the bolt the tongue on the front of the 4wd trick.
He hasn't a 4WD and the access is limited and tricky.
    And what's a BOPE???
I tried to google it and got an elite Portuguese special forces unit

Well you learn something everyday My contribution to you........... do you think it might catch on, especially on AF ?

BOPE Based On (My) Previous Experience

PS The bolt on tongue on the 4WD is now on Jakers truck, after a working bee the other day, just needs a little finessing to get a nicely polished apple even though it does work OK already.

Can you put a tow ball on the front of the mower Finga? or put some jockey wheels thingos on the back reaching out to stop the thing from humping it. You know the ones like those dragsters have to stop them from torque flip.

Looking at the photos, your "fat @r$e" wont be doing a scrap of good for the wheel standing becaue it will be more or less directly over the pivot pont ( rear axle).

And remember the new fangled electric motor will be much lighter than the original oil burner.

I recon there is enough room for a 20 litre drum of wet sand in front of the steering wheel...that would give about a 3 or 4:1 leverage against the towball downforce.

BTW..lowering tyre preasure improves tracton on almost any surface, thats why the drag cars run very low preasures in their tyres.

    cheers
Its the details, those little details, that make the difference.

Finga stick a 99 dollar Gmc generator on the front and get rid of the power cord and maybe the wheel standing front end will be sorted. Be nice to no longer limited by the power chord.

    Cheers

Gees I hope you both know I'm joking. Unless it true.... and there's nothing wrong with that mind you. If it's true.
