Hey all i will be heading back to Thailand at the start of August for a much needed holiday ! My question is has anyone done any fishing over there and if so who they used to charter and any info of their trip would be very helpful. Im looking at Phuket as my main base and have found heaps of charter services in this area on google, but some inside info would be good. We normally stay in the quite hills away from the Patong beach madness, and it backs onto some nice looking rocky out crops that might hold some fish ! Have already wooeeed the wife into one of my rods coming with me this trip so will be interesting to see if i can find a fish to take a rubber or two from the rocks ! Will just pick the best looking Charter if worst comes to worst and enjoy it. They say the Wahoo in August are big bad and plentiful ! Heres Hoping ! Couple of pics from last trip.
will they be flying direct to Phuket, or through Bangkok? If transiting through Bangkok, make sure their transit hotel is near the airport and no where near down town..........
Hey Mike tell them that they must do the Phi Phi Island trip, Phuket Zoo is great for photos, and Bangla road on a Saturday evening is a real eye opener. Shop till you drop, real cheap ! What hotel are they staying at ?
Hey Mike i think that is right in Patong Beach, a couple of things to remember dont tell anyone where they are staying, dont hand over their Passport/License for any reason, they will get pestered by all the sellers, but a stern but polite no thanks normally works. The Indian Taloirs are the worst they will try and imitate an Australian accent (very funny). And remember if a pretty Thai Girl is taller than your son then she probably is a HE !
