    Fish species ID please

    I am not sure what his was? the belly was like a soft jelly sack.

    it was about 3KG & a good 35cm

    yes it had a huge beak on it too. looked like it would chomp a finger off no problems.

    caught it in the seaway.

    dirty bloody sea toad. Give the fillets to someone you hate or a neihbourhood pest as they are highly poisonous!

    Yep, sea toad.

    I had a dead one float past me at the Spit a few weeks ago. A pelican took one look at it and flew the other way!

    well i am certainly glad i didn't throw it on the BBQ . my rule is when in doubt taker a pic and then throw it back.
