    Midweek Reef Bash

Fished 6 nm out from Moolooabah today.. Got fishing late but ended up getting a feed, most of the fish where sitting on the eastern side of the reef.

Lost a cobia at the boat and drop a few good fish due to rigging too fast and not testing knots.. Got pulled up by DPI on the way back in, lucky I remembered to cut fins... They also checked safety gear and sticker expirey on Epirb (all good).. I didnt know the stickers expire !!??

    1 x Tusky
    1 x Moses Perch
    1 x SE

Was a great day out almost ruined by "Fish n Crab" charters almost running over boat by passing within 15 meters of me on the way out causing a wake to crash over the back of my boat... Why why why"Fish n Crab"??? Its a big ocean out there and you don't own it !!!

Needless to say these Ars%^%$ got a mouthfull.. Cheers

Seems a little poor form from Fish n Crab. Maybe Karma will get them back in some small way.

Nice little feed you got for your efforts.

    Cheers

Nice feed. I've had the same happen to me as well from 3 different charter boats now over the years - very poor form i reckon. Why at anchor, minding your own business, offshore, they have to come within so close and give you their bow wave i don't know. Next time, a reckon take a photo and hand to martime safety or water police to give them a chat. Glad you had a great day out anyway, Cheers.

The deckies on f n c charter are to worried about their fishing rods rather than helping out the paying clients work that one out????
