Nope. No need. We have a SIII (with no radio, no A/C, no airbags, no wind up windows, no rust, with full sized guards, with a 202 Holden up front and a dirty big mechanical winch way out front.
I can't even remember if it's got door locks. If it has we've never used them
    So why upgrade??
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

    G'day,

It doesn't matter if it has door locks - if they work. Just slide the window open flip up the latch and you're in. Ahh! but what if the window latches are locked? Don't be stupid - they failed the week after they were installed.

Be very careful. The Holden 3.3Lt engine produced more torque than the Land Rover gearbox was ever designed to cope with. Keep the oil changes up to the g/box and let it rest and cool if you ever use low range.

Is the front winch a Fairey driven from the centre PTO? If it is it needs regular oil changes as well. They tend to get really hot and the oil breaks down and wreaks destruction.

    We are having fun.

    Regards,

    White Pointer
