I will be travelling to the cape at the end of June (wooo hooo), flying to cairns then my bro who lives in bamaga is picking me up for an 8 day adventure betwen cairns and the cape. I would love to get stuck into some northern species: barra, jack, salmon but will unfortunately will be land bound. Does anyone have a suggestion about the route I should take (will be in a fully decked out 80 series cruiser). And more to the point are there any land based options that are worthwhile and will not make us croc bait.
Would love to hear some suggestions.
I also have a handheld GPS if there is anyone out there who may like to share a general area. pls hlp
