Got a Lowrance 5000c GPS. Not sure what year they were made. maybe 02-04? but im chasing a compatible card for it. doubt they make cards for this unit anymore
Currently it has a simple SD card in it, is there anyway I can simple copy map details on it? or do i need a proper card?
the chances are that the navionics cards are supported in your unit, check lowrances website or the navionics website for support.
The GPS map data on the navionics cards are encrypted using a serial number on the individual SD card, so you cant just copy them.
you can use the blank card you have to copy gps marks to and from the unit and perform software upgrades, but you just replace it with the navionics card to show the maps.
