    Flybridge Cruisers

I am wanting to buy a Flybridge Cruiser, im not really concerned about boat brand just as long as it has a flybridge, can anyone tell me if any flybridge cruisers are legally able to be towed on the road and are any around the 2.5 metre mark on trailer? also does anyone know what brands you can get flybridge cruisers in as i know bertram and caribbean do them just not sure on any others.

    cheers mike

    Thanks siegfried for your reply

i did a google search and the yamaha 27ft came up with a beam of 2.92 metres which is way over the legal towing beam.

Ian the 25/26 footers are a whisker under 10ft beam. I think only the 24 is trailerable.

if you want a flybridge at that length, make sure you take your Quells. I saw one being retrieved at the Scarby ramp today....and im thinking....No bluddy way im going to sit up there all day in the open ocean. It was a 23 Carribean.

Sportsmancraft did one in that size range...but to me any trailerable flybridges look way to tender...

265-268 albemarle ?,no flybridge but open express that can be fitted with a tower. Bridges in any sub 33-35 footer are not for the faint of heart or weak of guts in even a small bit of sea and swell . A dude from Victoria weas towing a 27 ft Yamaha around last week down here, he may have had a daylight permit. Tow vehichle was a big Chevy 4X4 with dual wheels on the rear and he reckons it did it easily.

Have seen some cats with flybridges or towers. Might be more stable than a mono.

I'm thinking bertram or caribbeans would be the most common otherwise.
