    Hey BR,

I'm not sure about Boondoomba, but at North pine last weekend we kept 30 around the 25cm mark all about 15ft from the bank (depth varied from being able to see the rockmelon from the surface to deeper). Found the best spots were real close to the weed banks and trees. We also noted that at the water edge there were lots of rocks at the places we got the most compared with mud at the less productive spots.

We find the most productive time was at about 8pm.

We were catching no less then 15 in each pot with at least 2 over 15-20cm in each. we were there for 2 1/2 hours using a pilchard and some rockmelon in each pot with rechecking every 20 minutes.

Hope that helps you out. Enjoy

    Re: Boondooma Redclaw

    hey Mike,

I took the under side of the shell off with the head and did up a garlic butter mix with some chilli.

Spread the mix over the meat on the belly and BBQ'd the main shell side and then flipped them quickly to sear off the chilli and garlic.

also did a few in sweet chilli and the rest I did up a tomato, chilli and basil pasta with redclaw mixed through.

just a few ways I did them, Steve had another recipe he had found for prawns and was going to try that but not sure how they turned out!

    Cheers

Hi Brian, the depth 4 the bigger ones was around the 15ft mark !
The best bait we have used is dog biscuits IN SHADE CLOTH ..
Mind you, we had to keep replacing it every 3/4 of an hour .

Thanks Mark. Yours, Shanes and Andrews posts got me up off my arse, Ive been eating craw all week end. Both Borumba and NPD provided.

Sat nite was garlic, chilli and corriander stir fry with lemon grass and fish sauce.
Tonite just did garlic, tobasco and butter grilled tails.
Next feed is garlic, chilli, spring onions and cream in the wok, with extra garlic and chilli.

Man, I'd hate to be working with me tomorrow...
