had a great freind up from brissy with his parents over from canada , i was hoping to put them onto some freshwater species, friday it rained saturday it poured, what to do ,headed for isis dam near childers, got out of came a thought what would the local fresh be like ,there is toga, bass and barra to be caught here ,so in we go,the water was dirty and thick in the main area headed up into the top section landed 2 nice yellas which were a surprise, around another corner heard water running big time, over the spillway it was pouring, first thought barra,in the middle section it was funneling down the river nicely ,on go the hard bodies ,what happened next was unreal, paul and his parents had an absolute ball on hooking ,landing ,dropping 16 barra all in the 800mm range ,we dont get to see this happen too much as this section of river fishes very hard and results have been very scarce in the last 4 or 5 trips out there ,we fluked it but it was a session to remember i am sure the 2 travellers will remember it for a long time to come.cheers AL
