Whats biting around Cape Moreton?
With the ripper forecast tomorrow I'm planning on heading out from Manly towards Hutchies and/or Brennans. Has anyone been out bottom fishing that way recently? Had any luck? (Havn't seen many reports from that way recently)
We are planning on trying our luck for some livies around the 4 beacons on the way out and dropping them down for anything that wants to be stupid enough to jump on the hook. Having never fished the area too much does anyone have any advice on what we should be targeting this time of year? We will be taking the trolling gear as well just in case.
I have a few marks from the river to reef book so i suppose will try those first then go in search of structure if they are no good.

i'm heading to the 4 becons in the morning then going to the drop offs from cowen to bulwar as i only have a 4.5mtr tinny with a 60hp so i wont be going around the front unless it flatens right out.

Is a Full Moon tommorrow? I hate the day of the full moon itself, but either side not bad - i wish you good luck anyway and hope you do well. I hope you prove me wrong and post a report tommorrow night on the big snapper!

Thanks for the replies. We did ok for only my 2nd trip to hutchies and came home with a feed but nothing very note worthy. The full moon was last night i believe, heard over the radio one of the charters bagged out on pearlies but most people said they were struggling. I'll put a report up in offshore when i upload the photos.
