Went for a session at sunset Mon 26th.
As I was walking towards my spot on the rocks, heaps of "Anzac Day-weekend-warriors" were heading back home after a day of fishing in the sun .... EMPTY HANDED! I thought to myself "that's not the time to go home guys - the fish here will only come on the bite at dark!!"
Anyway, the Tailor came on the chew right on cue as the sun went down.
I tried Childers' rig with the circle hooks, but they did not give me the same feel for the bite and I missed the first 4 hits .... so switched back to my standard steel trace 6/0 rig (sorry Mick:cheesyThen caught 6 of 'em on the trot with filleted pillie, Ranging from 36cm - 55cm (no photos :angry
A fantastic moonlit night - with almost no swell, and a feed of fish.
Man, but life on the Gold Coast is rought at times !!!
