    Flatstrap Project

Just showing to interested members a 3 month refurbishing project on a very tired Police Cat and attempted to turn her into a very civilized sport boat that is able to fish a long way offshore and still be used socially in local waterways. She carries 500 litres of fuel for the Barrier Reef type trips and doubles up as a fuel depot when petrol prices are cheap(??). I have owned her for 8 yrs now and still get excited taking her out anywhere. Towed by a LR Discovery, I have fished Stevens Reef at Mackay and as far south as Port Stephens NSW.

Thanks Flatstrap thats a serious looking boat you have there . Well done on the project she looks great.
Can you explain your instruments, I couldnt tell what I was looking at. In particular what are the things connected by external cable on the dash.
    Do you have side windows?
    Cheers Brendan

The Koden electronics are a LCD sounder and a GPS unit. The 17" screen you see is an Apple laptop. I was playing a DVD on the '98 NRL grand Final between Manly and Storm. Helps to keep me entertained. The windows are coming. They will be a 6mm smoked perspex fixed with a few speaking holes drilled out.
There is a power outlet for 12v appliances and a USB power outlet to keep the iphone powered up. Thanks for the interest.
