There are "puck "tranducers that are "shoot through" the hull. ie you don't cut a hole in the bottom of the hull but instead epoxy it on the inside or have it in a wet well. They only work if the hull is solid glass, no air bubbles or foam core construction.

There are through hull tranducers which are the ones where you cut a hole and place tranducer in - some are flush fitting and others are bulky which can be a pain on a trailered boat.

There are the transom mount ones - you can have them removable- get a stainless guy to do a custom bracket. Won't be easy to find a undisturbed non airated waterflow so placement will be difficult

Ask on the jet ski sites as many have foam re-enforcing between the hull layers at the stern and it contains tiny air bubbles. Will stuff clarity. Other problem is if there teh fancy shape hulls that trap a layer of air .

See what someone else has used with some success on a similar ski and where it is mounted etc as if not you may spend a long time dong trial and error.

Consider what speed you want it to read at, power consumption as some skis have crappy electrics for charging and small batteries especialy is using it on long drifts or low rev trolling..
