    chartplotter to Vhf

    Hi Guys

now that I have fixed my VHF problem I am undertaking connecting the DSC by joining my Garmin 520 and Navman 7000. As both are already wired in and working, is it just a matter of connecting the Blue data cable from the Garmin to the yellow cable on the navman then turning on the comms (NMEA 1 out) in the garmin menu?

Should be if the Garmin have a standardised colour coding which is the same as the 128C and 126 (I'm sure to be told if not standard I'm sure)

By doing a google it looks like the 520 has similar colour coding as the 126 etc only the 520 has another set of comms ports available.

Ditto x2 to the above  You also need to turn on nmea settings in the Navman
and make sure Navbus is off
