If you managed to meet someone like yourself because you were motivated enough to get out of bed in the wee hours of the morning and get your ass down to the rocks and than you were lucky enough for you to give us some tips or you saw him catch a jewie, than you had some information you'd cherish and earnt and that would be with you for life.


Have to agree mate,
the post was awesome though, don't get me wrong. There are two many people that troll these forums for info before going fishing or putting in any effort at all.
Tips are one thing specifics are another.
If i'm down at hastings though, you can catch me on that rock casting to that bommie.. hope there will be enough room though.

I understand that you want to share your information with others however I must agree with "sneaky" that you have gone into way to much detail with pictures etc. It is a part of fishing that you develop your skills in a particular place by talking to people, experience and spending time learning the techniques and etc. Even on the various fishing TV shows the finer details are not revealed as they are aware that it will lead to over fishing and abuse of that location by people who dont give a fk about loooking after it. It is simply too easy to get on the net and nail down the finer details.
I too have fished this location for many years with great sucess, however in the last 3-4 years have noticed a definate increase in numbers of people willing to fish the crap out of it and abuse it by leaving crap everywhere, catching/keeping of undersized fish, leaving unwanted caught fish on the rocks to die and the general degredation of what was a good spot to fish. I fear that posts like the one you have left has lead to many of these problems. I know this as I have had words with fishos i have seen treating the place badly who have learnt of the place through your thread. Of course I understand that there are also others that do the right thing. Speaking to other local unhappy fishos we all agree that it is in the best interests of the fishing spot that you remove the details of the place and just leave a basic outline. I agree that it is no secret, especially now, however I think that more should be left to the imagination. We dont want it turning into one of those spots thaty used to be good to fish.
