Does anyone out here think that fishing areas along Brisbane River are getting lesser day by day?

you come on and ask the same questions about fishing the brisbane river, if there is less area around to fish, about restrictions, from what we understand you are doing an assignment for uni, we gave you answers to your last post on this why do you keep asking the same question. maybe you should answer you own posts and not dissappear after asking the question. we are more than happy to help you out.

I apologise, guys.
Thanks for all the help. I didn't disappear.
Was pondering on what angles I can use to create and write 3 articles for a degree.
Hope to be able to pull through 3 articles falling under the category of entertaining, objective and investigative by next week.
Can't wait for assignments to end so that I can fish peacefully.....
By the way, I called Port of brisbane and they said there was a boat ramp around to fish.
What types of fishes have been caught from Port of Brisbane?
Phil, just wondering, are you one of the creators of ausfish.com.au?
Hi Mate,
Showing your real name may get you a bit more assistance. The Brisbane River encompasses a lot of area, are you only interested in the lower reaches, or are you trying to cover it from up past Toogooloowah all the way to the mouth. Obviously there are reasonably new restrictions around the wharf areas in the lower reaches. Security issues are sited as the cause. Public access is still available in many areas, Fisherman Islands, Colmslie Reserve, Pinkenba Boat Ramp to name just a few. You can get a street directory and look for green bits alongside the river too. Restrictions haven't changed much in the upper fresh water reaches. There are no-go zones around the weirs and dam walls.

I fish because the little voices in my head tell me to
To Benny:
I apologise for the redundancy of my threads in anyway.
I've to complete 3 articles with interesting angles under the topics of investigative, entertaining and objective. I've been a little clouded and have been pondering a lot.
Hope to be able to finish my assignments as soon as possible so that I'll be able to start fishing in peace.
I've been fishing for 6 months at only 3 locations- Sherwood, Sandford St and Shorncliffe Pier. Hope to learn and expand the number of fishing locations I know of especially along the Brisbane River.
Benny, if you don't mind, I've got a couple of questions for you..
1) Do you fish from the Brisbane River ?
Answer either 1 or 2.
1) If you do fish:
- How often do you fish from the river?
- Why do you fish from the Brisbane River?
- Where do you usually fish?
a. Do you fish from a boat or from the banks?
b. What fishes have you caught from the Brisbane River?
- What was your biggest catch?
- Do you eat the fishes that you catch? If you don't eat them, why is that so?
- Have you joined any Brisbane River Fishing competitions before?
2) If you don't fish:
- Why don't you fish from the Brisbane river?
- What kind of fishing do you normally do? (boat fishing, angling, bait casting, shore fishing etc.)
- Where are the other locations you'll prefer to fish at?
a. How are these other fishing locations better than Brisbane River's fishing locations

Alright, just wondering...
- Why don't you fish from the Brisbane river? Because I live on the Redcliffe peninsula and it is too far for me to travel.
- What kind of fishing do you normally do? (boat fishing, angling, bait casting, shore fishing etc.) All of the above
- Where are the other locations you'll prefer to fish at? Redcliffe peninsula, Pumicestone Passage, Pine river, Offshore Northern Bay.
a. How are these other fishing locations better than Brisbane River's fishing locations. I don't know if they are 'better' than the Brisbane River, because I do not fish the Brisbane River to campare them. But they are close to home.
I am assuming you are in your first year of Uni.
Always happy to help a student.
Cheers

I've been working on a little side project with putting together a map of good fishing spots along the Brissy River. http://www.gofishingspots.com/post/5...brisbane-river
