    Problem solvered.
    Another ECU and jobs done.
Don't ask me why or how. It just is.
Without A/C we're down to around 10l/100km on the highway. Mrs Palmer also had her plugs and air cleaner and oil and oil filter changed at the same time but they were not due to be changed yet (and the air cleaner was clean) but seeing as a mechanic was there you'd might as well have them done I thought.

And thank Christ the all mighty for that too.
Starting to get too bloody cold up here to have the A/C on
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

    $0.
Not what you know but who you know that put a flash, go fast one in a car and the client didn't want/need the old bog standard one.
Helps when they work at Bitzashiti

It is amazing how much this keeps your car clean, especially the glass.

No offence but what the %^^*&$%^&ck has a reciever dryer got to do with cleaning moisture out of the air?
A reciever/dryer is a filter in the A/C system that filters the a/c gas and oil in the unit,(it can be a problem if it gets blocked-see some of the other posts about a/c running for a short time, amongst others).
If your a/c switch and fan are on,the a/c compressor is running using power, the only way to reduce this is to have it in recirc mode with the dial on hot(the quickest way to clear a fogged up inside of a windscreen)as this is removing the moisture out of the hot air being forced to the windscreen.

There are many reasons for an a/c system to only run for a short time, too low a pressure, too high a pressure tripping cut off switches, thermostat switch, engine temp switch, the list goes on.....get someone to put a set of gauges on the car and see what happens.Just to clear the air with facts..
