Just jokin' but still a steep rise in one hit. I am not bitching though as on the current UAE / Oz exchange rate ... 1 Dirham 52 fils per litre equates to about 45 cents Oz .....

You'll also notice in the article that its in an effort to pick up the gap for monies being lost because of Dubai's endebtedness! ... 80 odd billion was the last figure I heard

What i want to know is why I can consistantly buy fuel in Toowoomba about 12c per litre CHEAPER than I can buy it in Brisbane? Last time I checked there was no fuel refinery in Toowoomba?

And if you go south to Allora about 3/4 of the way between Toowoomba and Warwick its always cheaper still .....

Over 20c/litre difference from Warwick to Brisbane on Thursday's and week-ends.
We're on $1.23 all week for the last ages. Even the long week ends do not see an increase.
The cook loves it...
I believe Townsville is also a cheap place for fuel.

I honestly believe the government do not make a fuss over fuel prices because of the income it gives them.
If the oil giants make a motza as well...so be it.
I still cannot work out why the price of fuel is what it is.
When oil went through the roof (was it around $150/barrel??) the fuel at the pump was about $1.50 or so a litre. TOL, where are you mate. I know you have the figures.
Why is it when oil is at $80odd per barrel that fuel is around the $1.20-$1.50 pending day of week and place.

It is only the brisbane ,gold coast district that pays through the nose, gympie maryborough and those places are always cheaper by 5-10 a litre when i am heading north price stays the same all week they price gouge in brisbane

Well boys ...... the one that always gets me and its exactly the same over here .... why is diesel dearer at the pump than anything else when its the cheapest to produce?
