Rocky/yeppoon land based fishing

I guys getting bac into fishing again after 4 years, mainly want to get into lures/soft plastics.
Id really like a barra or 2 even if there 30cm.
Not so much into beach but meh will give any thing a go.
ive fot a 4wd if that helps.

Got a few spots of a mate at work (near carvan park mid rocky nrth side)
also after any lure combos that work for u ive been told local barra are partial 2 boof frogs in the green or red colour combo and the slick rigs in the red head colour combo both which are soft plastics made by squidgeys

cheers guys any locals want to head out one weekend give me a yell

also who services reels in rocky my butterworth bait caser has like a metal washer in side and its chrome is flakeing off so it grips when it turns.

my other combos are
small mitchell egg beater very smooth 2-6kg
1 cheapy combo mad its great as been abussed for many years
new abu ambaster combo i couldnt fond a 4500c3 so i got a baitcaster abu. looks the goods i cant wait to spool it up ive ordered 10,20 and 30lb braid

anyway its 3am and i start work in 2hrs so im off 2 bed

Ross ck is at yeppoon, fishing ck is north of yeppoon, i think..
Mate give the roslyn bay harbour a crack, ive got some big fingermark n salmon out of there, as well as black jew and some reefys..

Double head at Roslyn Harbour, cast out as far as possible with chrome slugs/ slices from the most SE point of the headland. Let them sink to the bottom then crank them back fast for spotty macks and the odd spaniard.

Fishing creek is north of yeppon you will need a map to get there barra jacks may have one ( the tackle shop in the old shoping centre at yeppoon used to have one ) devils elbow is on lakes creek road before the meat works again talk to the guys at barra jacks. I forgot thompsons point off the emu park road turn right at the sign and follow road to the end. ther are many other place's for land based fidhing cooramin creek zilzie

Yea mate, if ya ever need a hand knowing where any of the places are throw me a PM, know where most of them are, just havnt fished them all yet.

Personally i don't find barra jacks very helpful, Bluefin sports on the northside (Between little musgrave and musgrave streets, Next to battery world) is where i normally get all my gear.
