JB, ask ultra tune what they replace and what parts they use, i bet non genuine parts and cheapie oils. Ring a nissan dealer in bris and get a price, all the dealers down the coast charge excessively for there services cause they can.
cheers Lee

Yeah, I think im going to supply my own oil and filter.. that should keep it well priced and still get good parts.
I'm pretty sure on a 40,000klm X-trail service they change brake rotors ?
rotors after 40000k's????????
hi JB if you go onto australian xtrail .com and have a search in there , you will find all your answers and info needed ...

I spent $900 on the Sunny Coast getting the 300,000 on my Patrol. A bloody disaster in the book alright but not by the book. Three trips later to get it sorted. They used the same tappet cover seal, oil leaks, didn't replace indicator bulb, a simple thing but begs the question what else didn't they do. Wouldn't run on gas after the service but did fine before hand, "nothing to do with us" was the response. "well fix the bloody thing".
Never before and never a gain will I take it to the factory dealer to get ripped off!
By the way that was $900 a few years ago, it is now due for the 400,000 and no it won't go to bloody Nissan! Patrol GU best 4X4 then and still is
Most of my Money is spent on Booze and Fishin. The Rest is just Wasted!
To The Shed.............
most good workshops will check the rotors every service & adjust the hand brake
not many dealers do this . also most good workshops will be able to read all fault codes & clear them if need be .
cheers jimmy
Don't the dealers love you guys who think they are getting the job done PROPERLY by letting them service your vehicles...
I can hear them laughing all the way to the bank. That is after the apprentice changes the oil and filter(With the cheapest they can get) Then another kid washes it for you and ticks all the boxes.
Notice how they don't want you around while the jobs being done????(Come back in 6 hours should be ready by then!!!!)) Yep just about finished. Ill check for you!!!
Besta luck guys if you believe !!!

I would not touch ultra tune with a 50ft pole.. The Blacktown Autotune were selling an dyno tune for something like $100... (Typycally I used to pay about $700 for a dyno tune) So i start asking the guy.. you sure its a dyno tune.. he was asying yeah yeah.. we put your car on the dyno.. and do a full tune blah blah.. then i ask him so how do you tune vehicles.. as i had to buy a $500 piggyback board, in order to be able to tune my ecu.. then he tells me that they have all that equipment.. to which i have to explain is the pigyback board needs to stay with the car.. its not something they can put back on the shelf.. anyway to cut the long story short.. the guy had absoltuely no idea about tuning cars, and how to alter anything in the ecu.. and this was their rep, going around selling "dyno tunes" to the nieve who have got no idea, and pay $100 for nothing..
Not saying the dealers are angels, as have had some colourfull discussions with them as well, regarding services.. however atleast they know what they are talking about, or can get somene that knows what they are talking about very fast..
