Caught these two from my kayak last tue on livies about 4km offshore. Also dropped a marlin and had another scare from a massive shark. It was a double hook up - crazy five mins. Yellowfin went 12kgs and caught on my old tiny bass baitcaster with 10lb fireline.
Was trolling over a pinnacle rising to 8m from 25m and heard something behind me turned and saw a massive (14 ft) tail bolting to the depths (must ave saw my face). There was a massive boil and bow wave and it was way to big to be anything else. Scared the crap out of me but then i got a double hook up...
nice effort mate you gotta be keen as mustard to head out 4 ks in a kayak. man you hooked up on a marlin lol that would have been the fastest the kayak has ever gone lol.
