Wanted to Loan - Snapper Lead Mould

Long shot I know - does anyone local to me have a snapper lead mould we could borrow?

Got a trip to Gladstone later in the year, got some lead, just need a mould.
Been reading all the helpfull tips on here when I did a search - thanks to all who take the time to contribute.

    Hi Cindy,

I have a few different sizes, what sizes are you looking for? Happy to help.

you'd just need to work out a pick up and return, I'm going to be a bit difficult to pin down as of Sunday for the next few weeks.

    Check your PM
    Cheers

    Gidday Cindy,
Mate, I'm a bit closer to you then Rhys and have a lot of molds.
    What sizes are you after??
If it suits you I could make some up ready and you can just drop some lead off when your passing through Warwick sometime.

yep, totally agree with you there Rhys.
The scrapey usually has old lead roof flashings.
Reasonably clean, non toxic and easy to cut into manageable bits for the pot. It's usually a very good grade of lead.
    Batteries suck.
Wheel weights have to be sorted but I use them for different weights for the same size sinker as they can be anything from zinc to aluminium to lead now...but for normal everyday run of the mill sinkers lead flashings are the go.

Why go to metal recyclers when used sheet lead can be purchased direct from roof restorers a lot cheeper. Look in the yellow pages there are plenty of roof restorers
