    Gold Coast Macks

Went for a run today with a couple of mates Jason (JJT), Matija (Simo116) and his brother(Daniel) out south of the seaway to chase a few mackeral. Did a litttle better than we expected hitting some solid spaniards and spottys on liveys and then having some fun on the slugs. We fished in about 30m of water with perfect weather and a glassed out sea. Lost the first four fish to bite offs and plenty more during the day to dropped hooks because of those crappy trebles they put on most slugs. Should of changed them. Lost too many to remember and got down to the backing on my sol outfit. Lol good fun. Left them biting to get the keepers on ice.

Kept 4 all together 2 spottys 2 Spaniards and check the pic of the frigate daniel caught on the bait jig but the macks got to it before we could get it in. Couldnt have cut it in half any cleaner.

    Heres the pics.

    Re: Gold Coast Macks

You are a bastard getting amongst the macks today whilst most worked.
Nice fish tho, especially for straight out of seaway, I normally make the trek down to 9 mile or currumbin... may have to have a go closer to home.
No way in hell i'd have my feet near that spaniard while it was alive tho ? heard good tales of the of the pricks severing archiles tendons before.

    Re: Gold Coast Macks

Nice work boys, the macks were definitely in some "unusual" places yesterday .

BTW , that fish that got the guillotine treatment ain't a frigate, it's a bonny (aka spaniard lollies ).

    Cheers,

    Mick.
