    Just wondering if anyone knows of any good one day 4x4 trips to do around brissy never been before down this way cheers.

    for a beach run, you could always do double island and back in through the freshwater track. the islands are probably a bit expensive for a day trip. There's also Bribie. Up the beach and back through the inland track.

    yep. It's about 30 something dollars for a 1 week permit. You can get yearly ones that are a bit more cost effective too, depending on how often you go there.

    stradbroke island is a great day to lots of beach and lots to see for a big day out but an over nighter is really best if you can because you have a 1hr and twenty minute ferry ride in your 4by.

    but no comparison in in driving the hwy or driving all over the island apart its nice to sit up in the coffee shop looking over the bay.

    O'reilly's - Duck Creek Road. Glasshouse Mountains. Mt Mee state forest - Dayboro. Ormeau. Get yourself a copy of "Dirty Weekends" and go from there.

    Check the Straddie ferries.

    They usually have midweek or sunday deals.
    Be on the first barge in morning and come back any time that day for $50 or $75.
