I dont recon it will be too long and the winter (trumpter) whiting will have a size limit on them as well.
I have seen guys over at the rouse keeping everything they pull in I wont keep anything to small as you get very little of them and they are a pain inth a%#e to clean.
Cheers Axl
Yeh, I have got a couple of top spots in the Rous where - on the right tide - I can always bag a couple of dozen nice golden whiting all over the 23 cms mark.
Those mongrel diver whiting are there but in very small numbers.
The Rous is a top spot for whiting but always suprises me how they move around so much, a spot that produces good quality/quantity on one day is hopeless the next day!
That's fishing I guess!
I will very rarely take a whiting under 30cm, as they are absolutely impossible to eat under that size I reckon. Under 30cm, you can either fry them whole and choke on their bones or you can get the world's smallest fillets off them. Over 30 you can get a decent amount of flesh in a fillet.
Also, it'll be a sad day when winter whiting get a size limit. They're one of my favourite live baits.

Kaidon
