Garmin Sounder/ Plotter 451s

Hi Guys

Looking at purchasing one of these as I have been through my third lowrance and now it is out of warranty. Has anyone had one before any reviews???

Hiya, I have the 451s, got it new but but from a private seller on evilbay also got the vision card together for $ 650, long story but thats why I couldn't pass it up.

I like the unit heaps, it's just the screen is abit small, I have mine close to veiw so it's not bad but harder to read when your in choppy water and traveling, but very clear screen ! ! one other thing that I dislike is that when close to shore it tells me that I'm on land when I'm pretty sure I'm not and that could just be a setting that I haven't found or a caution thing,

Mr boats has them (451s) for just under $ 800 , whitworths has a sale on the 551s for $ 899, I'd defenetly get the 551s if I had anouther chance for the sake of an extra $ 100 and a wothwhile inch,

it's a little excesive when toggling for different screens but easy to get used to,
