The causeway on the cut through can be ok. my young bloke picked up a snodger barra there a few years back but it was out of season and he let it go and I picked up a decent estuary cod on a lure In only a few casts. Tried for whiting up there on the flats a few months back but no good.

They have been getting so smaller fish there of late and a mate got some nice flathead there last week.
And if you walk along the beach to kinka Creek where the creek is you'll get some good yabbies there then work your way back with the tide for some snoger whiting. But flick so soft platics you'll get some awesome flatties there
Find where the creek drains back to the ocean then work the flats back

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Try landbased on the SE corner of Double Head (Roslynn Bay Harbour headland) using small toby's or spoons. Cast as far SE to E as possible and let sink to the bottom then crank back as fast as possible. Any macks around will be found there usually.
In the boat I would hit Corio Bay around Black banks, the holes around the northern inside headland and up towards Waterpark creek near the Stockmans landing.
If nothing else you should get annoyed with the queenfish that hang around there at the least.

    Gday mate,
The tides are not real flash for the easter weekend at the causeway, as jt has said head up to the creek at the southern end of Kinka Creek( drive all the way along the esplanade and stay with the beach instead of following the main road(veer left just before the Kinka Kipper takeaway store). Follow the road right to the end and park there, a short walk down the track (cant miss it) with your yabby pump and walk across the creek(low tide)for the best yabbies.
As long as its not blowing a savage south easter you will pick up good whiting by wade fishing the tide in or out in front of the creek. You will get the odd crab in the creek but it cops a hammering and share farmers will be keeping their eyes open for sure.
    Good luck mate !!
