Fish ID please

I caught this interesting looking fish this morning off Green. Anyone have any idea what it is?

no idea but i caught a few on a bait jig on friday night. would be good to know what they are.

was it in deep water?? the size of its eyes looks like it is a deep dweller, than it mouth faces up suggesting it feeds from below.
would be interested to know

Red bullseye (Priacanthus macrocanthus). Not very good eating, fairly common catch in the bay often on prawn baits, and often caught at night

yep red bullseye its got other names but they are all refer to the red bullseye spot on freeeedom. hilly

Is that the guy also called Squirrel Fish? Lots of images on Google pretty similar to him.........
