    Father and Son trip.

With my son up from Newcastle for the weekend and keen as mustard to go for a fish (even though he is not a keen fisherman) we put the boat in at Fingle ramp around 630am and headed to the mud hole off the Tweed. After a few drifts and getting blown all over the place so we moved in closer to cook Is. for a drift.

On our first drift his line was in the water for no longer than 2 mins when he was on. I could tell from the start that it was a good fish by the bend in the rod. The poor lad (ok he's 23) had no idea how to even wind the line in. So with a bit of coaching from dad lift and wind down lift, hold wind and so on ..... when the fish saw his mug it took off again and the boy let out a squeal before getting it back under control. His next fish was a bit easy to get in as it was a red rock cod. a few drifts later with no luck we called it a day and was back across the Tweed bar by 930am.

His fish ended up being a Green Job fish that went 67cm and must of been on holiday as this for south is not in there normal range.

    Enjoy

What a cracker of a day hey?

Water looked pretty blue out there?

I took my neighbour out to Mermaid and got one lonely spottie, then played with jellybean mack tuna on the way home - the water was greeeeeeeen as !
