Seriously that's a classy hull, whoever buys it and rebuild it will have a top shelf boat on the water.

lot's of work though, prime candidate for realy trick CC.

Shouldnt look at these things, 40k + some it yourself nouse would see it on the water, couldn't buy the equivalent for anywhere under 100k I would assume.

    cheers fnq

    Re: Love these add's

Yep, the style of the hull is classical.
    The rest is crap.
Look at the fully reconditioned motor...wasn't even reconditioned with a 4 inch paint brush.
Look at the broken sheg on the leg??
Look at the rust in the trailer??
Look at the non-existant rollers at the back of the trailer?? I'd hate to launch that boat.

Unless you like old hulls (I do) and have nothing to do for a long while then it might be alright.
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good

    Re: Love these add's

ive seen old haines like that and after noel in ayr is finished

a pod easy acces to stringers , raised mid floor so can sleep compartments ., 300 zuk or the new 300 yamaha coming out

    $40 ,000 motor

    $40,000 build

    $20,000 extras etc ,tabs sonar

    $6,000 canopy a good one

$ 106,000 compared to a brand new , far weaker hull which wouldn't give you much change out of $180,000

    Re: Love these add's

Nah it doesn't have to be done like that, i put together a brand new 6.2m hull, fully refurbished motor, everthing else brand new, will go anywhere a new 6m boat will for and all for just 22K, it's slower and bumpier for sure but hey it's just as reliable etc and the fish don't care.

This boat is a 50k boat including purchase if done with some nous if not then of coarse the sky is the limit if that's the choice, wouldn't consider anything but an outboard on a pod though.

    cheers fnq

nak its an easy restoration - just add some ply , chipboard , masonite and some iron on woodgrain , some demolition sale 240 volt electrics and whalla - in the water

    Re: Love these add's

Worth maybe half of what he's asking maybe less and unless you spend 120K it will never look like the "finished picture".

There is a couple of boats on ebay that would be far better like the 23 berty V8 windsor power buy now $27k on trailer or the 243 haines ally podded on tri axle with 225 yammie for 24K

I understand they are in a different price range but in far better condition, less work heartache etc etc

    Re: Love these add's

Reminds me of a mate who had a dodgy old two door valiant that was proving hard to sell.

Being a photographer he decided to sell the car in a more professional manner. He hired a nude model and draped her stylelisticly over the car. With the best shot he had some postcards printed up and distributed them around town to panel shops and the like.

A few months later a young bloke , after his first car, came and brought the beast. He had put the postcard on his bedroom wall and after staring at the car on many lonely nights decided he needed that dream.

As Smashed Crabs said in a recent post we buy on a dream and emotion. The fellow with the ebay ad should put an appropiate model on the bow, stern, motor and trailer.
