What could go wrong.......................
i got a new tinnie 6 mths ago same thing in mind mate i got a new sounder with in a week im still trying to work out the best spot for it what a problem, every time i think i have it rite something like what about rods or some other gear i like to carry ill have to look at a few other set ups but people might think i'm being nosey at boat ramps. what did you end up buying mate.
tight lines glynn
I just got a little Brooker safari 450..just something small and easy to handle to bash around the estuaries with.
I will also be in the same situation..with a sounder and gps..where to put it and other gear. I know already what will happen..I will buy stuff and it won't be fitted to it..typical of me.
Onya Greg ,
Look forward to seeing some photo's of your new baby , loaded up to the hilt with new electronic toys .

yeah Pete..got rid of the bigger boat..will just fish aroundthe esturaies and do a few charters a year,,that will do me now..but I can't downgrade again..will be in a bloody bathtub next..mind you this boat is not much bigger than one.
should be fun anyway.
I reckon a motor would be a good start. Hard work rowing around the place.
no name on it Scott..it is only a tinnie.
I'd be starting with the basics,
Like making sure there's a fridge full of crownies and a half decent stereo in the shed.
many an hour will spent in the shed. i got my tinnie about 4 months ago. started off by wiring the sounder, lights, battery, switch board etc and the rod holders. recently installed the electric on the bow and now in the process of making a rear casting deck and a removable cast deck to come back off the front seat (already has front cast deck). possibilities are endless! save a lot of coin too doin it all yourself. good luck with it all!
cheers aaran
Hey mate - I know the feeling, I bought most of my gear at the show on the weekend and it is now littered around the loungeroom wifey isn't too impressed! The boat doesn't arrive for another 4 weeks or so so it will be there for a good while yet
Im just like you - im sure I bought gear that will stay in its box, well for the time being anyway.
I do reckon that half the fun is setting it up how u want it.
Greg,
Did you get the wide gunnells - if you did then a little ram arm for the sounder is all you need. Then just tuck it away under the gunnel when not needed.
